Walk through almost any neighbourhood and you will see the same story: waste dumped on open land, plastic caught in fences and streams, and organic scraps that could be feeding soil going to landfill instead. A few kilometres away, small-scale farmers are paying for fertiliser they can barely afford.
Pure Planet Foundation began with a simple observation: these are not separate problems. They are one loop that has been broken — and communities themselves are best placed to close it.
Education first, then action
We believe environmental protection begins with informed communities. That is why every programme starts with learning — in classrooms, community halls and markets — and ends with something practical: a recycling station, a compost heap, a cleaner street.
Turning waste into a resource
Our composting programme converts biodegradable waste into organic fertiliser for small-scale farmers. It reduces what goes to landfill, improves soil fertility and puts money back into local food production.
Healthier communities. Stronger planet. Better tomorrow.
If that sounds like work you’d like to be part of, we’d love to hear from you.
