Cleaner communities grow from informed ones.
We help schools, households, businesses and small-scale farmers turn waste into opportunity — through environmental education, recycling awareness and affordable organic compost.

Why we exist
Protecting the environment begins with informed communities.
Pure Planet Foundation was established in response to environmental challenges many communities face every day — and to the practical solutions that already exist close to home.
Improper waste disposal
Dumped and burned waste pollutes soil, water and air — and the health of the people living beside it.
Low awareness of better practice
Many households, schools and businesses have never been shown how simple sorting, reuse and recycling can be.
Environmental pollution
Plastic, organic and mixed waste build up in streets, rivers and open land, degrading natural ecosystems.
Costly soil improvement
Small-scale farmers often can’t access affordable organic options to restore tired soil and lift their yields.
What we do
Four programmes, one healthier environment.

Schools & youth
Environmental education
Hands-on workshops that teach learners, teachers and families how waste, soil and water connect — and what they can do about it.

Households & business
Waste reduction & recycling
Sorting, reuse and recycling awareness that keeps material out of streets, rivers and landfill.

Farmers
Organic composting
Converting biodegradable waste into organic fertiliser for small-scale farmers.

Communities
Community wellbeing
Clean-ups, public-health awareness and poverty-alleviation projects that improve everyday quality of life.
Our signature programme
From kitchen scraps to fertile soil.
Organic waste isn’t rubbish — it’s the start of a harvest. We close the loop between the communities that produce it and the farmers who need it.
Collect
Households, markets and schools separate biodegradable waste at the source.
Compost
We turn it into rich, environmentally friendly organic fertiliser.
Distribute
Compost reaches small-scale farmers at little or no cost.
Harvest
Healthier soil, stronger yields and less waste in our streets.
Where we’re starting
A young foundation with clear first steps.
We’re just getting started. These are the commitments guiding our first year — and we’ll share real results here as they come in.
01
Schools
Run our first environmental education workshops with local schools and youth groups.
02
Compost
Pilot a community compost site that turns biodegradable waste into organic fertiliser.
03
Farmers
Partner with small-scale farmers to trial compost and track the difference in their soil.
04
Reporting
Publish what we do and how every rand is spent — openly, from day one.
